  • Holiday Shows

One of the things that sets Serova School of Dance apart from other dance schools is its many outreaches to the community. They include holiday shows in December at various nursing homes and adult care facilities as well as a holiday show for handicapped children. The Serova Stars are there to spread cheer and bring smiles to the faces of those they dance for. The dancers make holiday cards for the guests and pass them out at the end of their performance. Some of recent shows include: New Jersey Eastern Star Home in Bridgewater, River’s Edge Care Center in Raritan, Bridgeway Care Center in Hillsborough, and the Handicapped Children’s Holiday Party at the Hillsborough/Manville Elks Club.

  • Movin' for MS

Another big event that is held every other year is Movin’ for MS. In 2002, Serova held their first Dance Benefit, Movin’ for MS, to help provide a means for research for a cure for Multiple Sclerosis. As some of you may already know, this cause is near and dear to Serova. Miss Maggie was diagnosed 13 years ago with MS. Multiple Sclerosis affects approximately 400,000 people in the United States alone and is a debilitating disease. This event is a lot of fun for students and guests and includes a basket raffle at the end. All proceeds from the benefit go directly to the Mid-Jersey Chapter of the National MS Society.
